A compleat history of the Rebellion, from its first rise, in 1745, to its total suppression at the glorious Battle of Culloden, in April, 1746. By Mr. James Ray of Whitehaven, volunteer under His Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland. Wherein are contained, the intrigues of the Pretender's adherents before the breaking out of the Rebellion, with all the memorable transactions, and the particulars of their several invasions, during the period of time, with a particular and succinct account of the several marches and counter-marches of the rebels, from the Young Pretender's first landing on the Isle of Sky, with his retreat at Culloden. Also, an account of the family and extraction of the rebel chiefs, especially the Camerons, with the life of the celebrated Miss Jenny. Likewise the natural history and antiquities of the several towns thro' which the author pass'd with His Majesty's army; together with the manners and customs of the different people, particularly the Highlanders. The tryals and executions of the rebel lords, &c.
