Followed by 'Copy from the late Dr Robert Simsons Will of what relates to the Donation of his Books to the Library of the University of Glasgow 11 August 1768', listing 'Mr James Clow (Professor of Philosophy at the University of Glasgow), William Rouet of Auchindennan and John Buchanan Junior (writer in Glasgow)' as his trustees. This extract includes the rules governing lending of the books. It also refers to books written or edited by Simson, and his 'manuscripts & all my papers'.

Followed by a register of loans, with entries dated up to 1823. Names of borrowers (with dates of borrowing) include Mr George Jardine and Mr James Millar.
